I was in Wichita on Friday 12/31 and paid 2.31/gallon for premium unleaded at Sam's with my sams card discount.

Ethanol fuel at Coop on trail is usually a penny cheaper than regular unleaded and it has a higher octane than regular unleaded.

I was in Wichita on Christmas day and paid 1.92 at Kwik Shop. It was like 1.98 at Sam's. Also, the Casey's in Kingman is usually pretty reasonable on both Unleaded and Ethanol.

How about Diesel???? Bend over, here it comes!!

Well it looks like in the week from Christmas to the end of the year that gas went up quite a bit in Wichita too.

On a better note, I've noticed that the price of natural gas has been going down the last week or so, so maybe our home heating bills won't hurt quite as bad as they did last month.

You know though, actually the "wind farms" aren't that profitable for the electric companies. One of the reasons that they put them up is to keep the environmentalists happy. KCP&L (who hasn't raised their rates for years...) is building a new coal plant over by Weston, MO. They are required to have so much of the energy they produce each year to be clean. By having a few wind towers factored in to what they make out of the coal factories it lowers the average of pollution per Megawatt produced.
