Well now aren't they some real sharpies. How could they allow the ssn's to be put in the code. I agree had they not printed this story many would not have known. Srew ups all the way around.

I didn't reread the story, but I thought it said that the SSN was buried in a list of numbers that identified each addressee. So unless I know the number is a SSN and how many numbers are before it and after it, why am I going to waste my time? It's a lot easier to just lurk (sorry, Lurker) around a pay telephone at the airport and listen for the tones as the credit card is 'typed' in.

Enron, United Airlines, soon Ford Motor Company and a host of other public companies are in default of their retirement promises because they have simply passed those costs over to the next generation of workers.

Our SS benefits are supposed to be paid by those who are now about 18 years old....

Video camera phones are the current high tech way to capture credit card numbers at checkout lines and pay phones. If you can find a pay phone anymore.
