I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure it's not Sprint.

Altell adds towers all the time and if you don't update your phone you cannot use these towers. Dial *228 on your phone and let it update. Go to the store and have them check the current software on your phone also. I am curious as to what model you have? Try the V710. It rocks!!!
That is part of the rub. I bought their top of the line at the time (this was some time ago...bitterness lingers lol) at around $250 or $300. When that phone stopped working after a few weeks, they gave me an el cheapo loaner with few features, to use while my phone could be away up to 6 weeks for repair. I squawked that their loaner should be a similar model but they said my contract didn't require them to do that.

The customer service sucked! I eventually threatened to sue to get out of my contract.

Oh yeah, just an FYI in case anyone else needs to get out of their contract with Altell. The reason they finally "had" to let me out of my contract was because they couldn't produce a copy of it. I don't know if they just lost mine or if they don't keep them on file, but it's worth a try to demand a copy of your contract and if they can't produce it, you're out!

I don't like playing legal games with companies but Altell had it coming big time!
