Where were this kid's parents? How did he manage to get a gun to schol? And especially paint over the pin/red markings that identify it as a non-lethal weapon? Looks like something that had been ignored way too long. Just a real sad situation - I'm with Tex Kan, I feel sorry for the cop. On the surface, he knows he did what he had to do, but underneath it all, he killed a kid. Over a stupid pellet gun. There was no way to know. RIP, little guy.

You can buy these guns at your local Wal-mart....Next time you are there go check out the pellet guns and see how real they look.

You're right Miss Muffin, allthough the kid died the Cop is the real victim he'll have to live with this for the rest of his life.

They say they told officials it wasn't real:

A. Families will say a lot of things to protect a member
B. It looked real enough to creat doubt
c. It wasn't pointed at them.
