| Detector, any idea which direction the car was going? Looks like if they were southbound at a high rate of speed they were fixing to have a big surprise at Cedar.

| Well, I'm no crime scene investigator but I have looked it over pretty close. Looks to me as though it was south bound at a very high rate of speed when he locked up the brakes. Could have been because he knew Cedar posed a real problem at his speed. When the brakes locked he started to skid out of control. Heading toward the curb he tried to correct by steering to the left which sent him sideways because his brakes were still locked. The skid marks show him hitting the curb almost completely sideways. Rear wheels in the grass and the front wheels still in the street. Looks as thought they were sideways when the car hit the light pole on the passenger side flipping the car over 1/2 turn on its top facing east. As I said I believe it was possibly a race gone bad. First because I can't see them running so fast at the end of 6th just for fun. Competition yes, fun no. Second, a second car showed up from the east on Elm and picked up two kids. I believe the car was the one in the race and it went to the end of 6th, turned on Cedar and went around the block to Elm to check on the other car.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that cars don't just spontaneously slip up into yards and telephone poles. If so, why did the driver run and continues to hide? |

| They left their dead friend behind? ![]() With friends like those.. who needs enemys? Is the driver really hidding? or being hidden? |

| Let me see here. One kid 14, three 15 and one 16 were on their way to a party after midnight. 14, 15 and 16 on their way to a party after midnight? And family/friends are shaking their heads and visibly upset afterward? I somehow find myself visibly upset with the family/friends. What the Hell were they thinking about beforehand? I’m having a hard time with the idea that this was the first time these kids were out late.

| I'm still in shock that the driver hasn't at least turned himself in yet. I can understand (big maybe) being scared at the time and running, but I think that little voice in the back of my head (you know the one that's always arguing with the other voices in my head) would convince me to do the right thing at least for my friends sake for his memory. Unbelievable.
