The public is invited - all ya have to do is buy the ticket........ Geesh I love those Chamber events..........sold many a table - where were you when I needed the sale for points??????? Hidin by some tire I bet.

Course I get what your sayin but I just never wanted to be drinkin at a basketball game or at the circus. First off the seating is not condusive to even eating hot dogs....... don't need some idiot dumpin thier 3.2 down my neck. The Chamber events are at tables and the bar belongs to the caterer most the time and the drinks my friend are expensive. Ususally you get 2 with your ticket plus you get a fab meal usually. Otta try it out........

With all the hoopla going on NOW, regarding illegal immigration..., and we the people, wondering why we have laws, on the books that have been there for years ... ARE BEING BROKEN 24-7....maybe the beginings of a solution will surface.... (dont hold your breath)...but in the meantime....."we the people",most of which obey the laws of our land cause when we were youngsters..we were taught by parents and school and sunday school, and church...and most all adults....to R-E-S-P-E-C-T....the law,policemen,our elders, just about anyone considered an adult... especially respect THE LAW..
I was mischievious..all for getting a laugh out of someone...but...I was not what was called ...a Juvenile Delinquent....( remember that term ???)...I got my ass whipped if I crossed the line on the mischief....putting cowpatties in a paperbag , setting it on fire on someones front porch...you know fun stuff ...you get the picture....as my dad told me, after my ass was on fire...YOU COULD HAVE BURNED THEIR HOUSE DOWN !! well I hadn't thought of that ...but I didnt' do it again..thats for sure...(sure was funny tho..when they came out to stomp out the fire)...
OK....NOW FOR THE POINT..... (i posted on another comment)....RIGHTS...FRIGGING RIGHTS...kids have more frigging RIGHTS than adults....WHF happened....cops (God bless them)...have NO RIGHTS..

Some parents now days teach their kids to question first respect later or not at all especially the law. I guess experience, or paranoia, has taught them to trust no one. There will always be bad apples but I have never let it get in the way of due respect. And I have yet to be sorry for it.

Respect breeds respect and a-holes... well you know.

Ok ...lets assume....MUSIC....BOOZE....FOOD.... whatever they want...go for it.... Drinking age 21.... Everyone is jubilant... having a blast....Parents, having so much fun they lose track of their most precious gift...the gift is hitting the keg..or whatever...they dont notice( happened to me...at a softball game...my 2 year old ..2 mind you, had been going over to the keg...he came over to sit on the blanket , with his little cup in his hand..he staggered, lost his balance , spilled freaking beer everywhere...he was drunk on his ass....OH MY GOD ..HE COULD HAVE DIED...from alcohol posioning .....IT WAS MY FAULT , I HAD NOT BEEN WATCHING HIM)

anyway.... the celebration is coming to an end.... you can have the most responsible child , honor student....blue ribbon prize winner for responsibility...mix in some alcohol...well....the kids are a little tanked ...they are not ready for it to end...they sneak out ....take the vehicle.... and off they go.....and in this horribly sad situation... a death...but there will be another and another celebration of .....coming of age...its part of their culture, and they have been doing it for eons....time to make a few adjustments to the festive occasion..time for change... sometime you have to change back ...not forward....never the less ...its change , to what works...................here go some of your"RIGHTS...

have someone there to check your keys....A COP/RENTACOP, in full uniform........cant leave til you get your keys...whether its your car, the little darlings car (another sore spot with me )...dont matter...
OK ....little Jose or Abraham.... , without your knowlege has had a set of keys made....
....he has the RIGHT dontcha know...
the kicker is....Now as a parent ...you have done all you can do to protect that child at that event...you feel pretty confident that jr will make it home ..you can relax , enjoy ...if he/she decides to sneak out ... and the unspeakable happens....as it did.......at least you know you did everything in your power to prevent it....short of doing away with the celebration altogether...
In this case ....
THE PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENED,AND SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER.....
