INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- A man pleaded guilty Wednesday to using his cell phone to secretly take pictures up women's skirts.

Daniel Thurman was charged with felony invasion of privacy.

The case stems from an Aug. 1, 2005 incident at a Cargo Largo store in Independence, Mo. Surveillance cameras recorded Thurman kneeling behind a girl -- who was a minor -- and sticking his cell phone under her skirt.

Investigators said they found nine such videos on Thurman's cell phone.

Thurman entered his guilty plea in the same courtroom where the victim's mother sat listening.

"Mr. Thurman, do you want to say anything about your plea?" a reporter from KMBC-TV in Kansas City, Mo., asked Thurman outside of court.

"No, ma'am," Thurman said.

"Do you perhaps want to apologize, now that you've entered a plea?" the reporter asked.

Thurman did not respond.

The victim's mother had no comment.

There was no plea agreement in the case, so a Jackson County judge will decide Thurman's punishment. The judge's decision is expected in March.

A felony case such as this calls for a maximum sentence of up to four years behind bars and $5,000.

I'm definitely not going to stand up for this idiot........so don't slap me down just yet..............

I guess I'm a bit more cautious than she was. If I saw a man crouching in the women's clothing, I'd be wonderin' what the hell he was doin' there. Be damned if I'd give him a free show by standing in front of him.

But - still didn't give him the right to do it. I can't believe he didn't try to plea his sentence.....musta had a newbie lawyer. Either that or he has a record.
