I didn't know about this. That is so much BS that some guy living here can say I might drive by there and might see that and not like it. He must have never been in the military, or had someone in the military. What an *******!!!!!!!!

How many people have read this post and made no comment? It looks like 9 as of right now. But I look at Michael Jackson Memorial post and it has had a 196 people read it and 13 post. Hell I guess that Michael is more important then this, or I just haven't given it enough time to be read and posted on.

I agree Firedog. And they are pushing for a national day of mourning and a postage stamp for MJ too, but considering tearing down a memorial put up by people who fought to give this country the freedom that allows a poor family like his to rise up the way they, and especially he did.

I don't understand what goes through a person's mind that causes them to take offense to such a pure thing, but turn their backs on some of the ugly things in this world that SHOULD offend them.

What kills me is that the guy that complained is Roman Catholic. I know that the RC's use crosses. So what's next, all churches have to remove their crosses as well?

Soldiers that died GAVE him the freedom he has to complain like he is, and he is abusing it. He obviously has way too much time and not enough to do with it.

every memorial we have is on goverment ground. most incorperate a cross somewhere.

Now I think this is a silly fight but "rights" have to swing both ways or there are not "rights". As bothersome as it is - this is also the reason why people fought to begin with. How quickly we forget.

ok, I'll bite. Any memorial, no matter how trivial it may seem to the offended, means something (obviously quite a lot) to someone. If you see something that might be offensive, why not just turn the other way instead of fighting to have it dismantled in the interest of political fairness? It is just a colossal waste of time. Unless, of course, this guy really doesn't have anything else to do.
