Police Chase- car goes through house

At about 12:52 a.m., a police officer saw the suspect's vehicle going at a high rate of speed in a Dodge City neighborhood. Once the officer began following the driver, she made a number of turns and illegal maneuvers to elude the officer. The officer obtained a partial tag number and discontinued the pursuit, the release said.

I didn't hear the action on the scanner and I'm interested in knowing if that's the way it happened... Tee, is that the way you heard it?

So it was a girl that was driving the car? I couldnt tell but I sure could hear someone screaming bloody murder, it sounded like a girl and it stopped once they put the driver in the ambulance and took off. I didnt know if it was the driver or the person in the house. When they brought the person out of the house that person wasnt screaming. Yes it was a horrific sight. I took pics on my cell but they are to blurry. I heard it on the scanner and went to check it out and OH MY GOD it was so scary looking.

BTW, I heard from the Mexican connection that the young boy driving the pole clipper near Detector's house is basking in warm Mexican sunshine.

I personally, did not hear any traffic that indicated that the pursuit was terminated, but I suppose it's possible. I am sure the press will ask for the radio communications under the Freedom of Information Act, as everything is logged by a recorder. I hope that was the case, about him discontinuing the pursuit, but as I said...I was monitoring the traffic and didn't hear it. I could have missed it...?

Surely not.

Normally, a decision is made from a higher up in command, whether to continue or terminate the pursuit, I think. If pursuit is causing safety issues for the general public, normally a pursuit is terminated. However, a case by case decision is usually rendered. At 12:30 am, I don't think the traffic would be very existent, so the pursuit may have been continued to terminate the action.
