I was sitting here at my computer when it started and when it ended listening to it on my own personal scanner and there was nothing at all said about ending the pursuit or backing off or anything to that matter unless it was said on channel B which we can not receive. As soon as they turned on Comanche off of 6th street she put the medal to the pedal and hit 90+ and then a few mins later they started yelling 10-47 10-47 then they started yelling 10-48 10-48 get an ambulance down here now they have a roll over, roll over at B and Comanche. After that all kinds of stuff was being screamed over the scanner that is when my friend and I got in the car and took off to the scene so we could see what was happening and that is when I seen the car in the house and was so sick by the sight wondering if the people in side was ok. It was confirmed to me last night by a very very close friend of the families that the girl died yesterday morning. That is all I know about it. The girls family is doing as well as expected for this kind of situation said by the friend of the family's.

It's easy to miss it, if it was said in 10-code language. 10-11, I believe would be the code, or you're right, it could have been on channel B, but it was called off. Unfortunately, even when the police call off a chase for safety reasons, it doesn't mean the other person will show the same reasonable judgement.

WHY do people do this??? I'm sure there was enough going on that people....taking off to the scene so they "could see what was happening" doesn't do anything positive. If that person has a vested interest (friends, family in the accident) yes...but otherwise stay away and let the police do their job......sheeeeeeeesh.

Oh yeah, I was going to comment on that, too. I doubt if it was appreciated by the police, fire, and ambulances trying to get there to offer assistance. I guess it's just curiosity, but rubber necking can be dangerous.

I agree with that too.stay away and let the people do their job. If they need you I'm sure they'll call you.

Gotta squelch the rumor right now....no matter how reliable your source is granny giggles, the driver is NOT dead. This I know for sure, beyond a shaodw of a doubt, because I know people she has been in contact with via phone as late as this morning. She was pretty banged up, including some broken bones, but hopes to be back at home by late this week.

Also, what you should have been listening for on the scanner was 10-22 - meaning disregard. 10-11 is close, but it more means to disregard current assignment and be in route to somewhere else for a higher priority call.
