My take? Nobody is held responsible. This woman likely just needs some mental help, not long-term incarceration. I am growing weary of it, too. Do these people not know there is somebody to turn to? They know who to turn to when they need money! I dunno. Seems there ought to be some personal responsibility here, but we usually try to coddle them and make everything "alright". What a mixed-up world.

The priest said she had profound sorrow. For what she did or for being caught? And then the statement that she has sorrow for the hurt on the community. To hell with the community we have 3 dead kids here. She needs to be smacked up side the head a few times.

This one's gonna be shielded by the "religeon crazy" defense. My take is if this mom was known to be unstable why the hell did the dad stay in NY and work while sending his kids to another state with a lunatic. Surely someone knew this broad was a time bomb - time to start makin the other half of the family as responsible as the stupid half. If ya know your kids are in danger get them the hell out of danger. If ya don't I think you are actually more at fault than the lunatic. I'm just sick sick sick of this crap goin on. The kids are dead now - too late.

Smack him upside the head and remove any defense from her. Then turn around and charge him for being stupid. Smack him upside the head a couple more times just for good measure!

I think IF he knew his wife was unstable and he knowingly let his children go in the care of someone unstable......... He ought to at least be charged with endangerment of his children and I'm not beyond feeling that he too is an accessroy to murder.......... IF he knew. I think some of these dads need to step up to be moms if needed. It isn't just a female job - these guys need to help and quit hidin behind the skirts of the crazy women they are married to.
