DNC blog closes thread on Fred Thompson

I guess when you don’t toe the line with the DNC they shut you off. Here’s the link and a few choice comments.

The Democratic Party | The Fred Thompson "Dummies Guide to Diplomacy"

Quote:
If this is really the worst that the DNC can come up with then Fred Thompson may be a problem. Tough talk on the Russians and bad mouthing the French is not going to upset the average voter. Bad mouthing Mexican immigration could be down right popular. Unless we can find something a little more current than the S&L fiasco we may have to hope that he stays out of it to protect his kids from the press.
Quote:
If you have something rotten to say about Thompson, something of substance and not based on the pure desire to trash a Republican - let's hear it.

Did he say he hated kittens? That might be something to fuss about.
Quote:
i agree with everything he said and if it offends these other countries so what! it true! and sometimes the truth hurts. would you rather have another liar for president? i wouldn't.
Quote:
Hello?
What's wrong with what Fred Thompson said here?

If you all think Fred Thompson is out of line then the democrats ARE really out of touch and I'm on the wrong Blog!!!
Quote:
We can't be contrary just because a Republican said it's so, or because it may seem indelicate. The American people are sick and tired of indirect, overly calculated answers. On this issue Thompson is speaking the truth and if we are foolish enough to tap dance around Putin's conduct, we will alienate voters.
Quote:
This guys actually pretty smart. Conservative? Yea, but he's a pretty straight shooter, and them boys in the south love a straight shooter.
Quote:
You said it, Perico. He is a straight shooter and what he said is right. He calls it like he sees it and hey, I agree with him.
Quote:
Afte 8 years of president Bush, I would not vote for Fred Thompson, or any Republican, to save my life.

However, my political disposition is no excuse to sit by while this article attacks his comments.

I say this as a Democrat, as an opponent of strict immigration policies, and as a Mexican-American dual citizen who lived in Mexico a quarter of his life:

He Is Absolutely Right.

I listened to all the podcasts . I really like him. He makes sense and that is rare in politics. From what I have heard from the so called experts tho, he hasn't got the campaign funds he needs to run.

I hate that crap. I just wish it wasn't about how much freaking money a candidate has in his coffer. Tho now with the internet, exposure is available.
Being on a hit t.v. show doesn't hurt either.

OK HWY
I heard a blip on one of the newscasts last week (yes I have control of my remote and I exercise my right to use it frequently LOL) anyway, one of the talking heads said something about Caucasus's and how many there used to be and how many there are now. I tried to research it but got more corn-fused and didn't find the answer online. Do you have anything on it ?

The funny thing about Fred Thompson is that he HASN'T declared, HASN'T started fund-raising, HASN'T spent any funds to run for president..... and yet, in the most recent poll (according to NPR), is now tied with Rudy Giuliani as front-runner for the Republican nomination.

He may not have to raise very much to win.

First time I read that I thought you typed "Caucasians" instead of Caucasus's...

It was a damned funny statement until I re-read it.

In a word JW, no.

I am unhappy about the states that moved their primaries up sooner because it makes for a longer campaign. That means it takes more money to run because they start earlier. Besides, by the time the election rolls around in 17 months the voters will be burned out with politics.

In 17 months we'll be burned out on politics?

Heck, I'm almost there now.

Well reading it as caucasians could be relevant as to how many there used to be and how many there are now. Most of us try not to have more kids then we can feed and that may be the road to extinction
