Texas and Ohio count for like 389 delegates counting their "super delegates". I don't think it's a winner take all deal though so their may not be a clear winner if they split.

I still don't get why they do "super delegates"...

Probably because they think they know what is best for everyone so that the voters don't have all the say of the outcome....

I'm probably way off base but say the delegate count is close that means the Super D's who are not elected by the population will decide who the candidate is. They KNOW who these delegate's are and that leaves room for abuse. (paying off, giving of gifts, return of favors, possible appointment to a cabinet or committee or something) This sounds like something that just smells bad.

Do the republicans have super delegates too or do they just let the voters decide on their candidate?

So the one's who didn't suck... sucked just enough that nobody wanted to give them money?

If ultimately the Super Delegates will decide who the candidate is does that make the avg joe's vote pretty much irrelevant?

Only if the average joe acts like a good Republican, bends over and takes whatever the party gives them.

I've already written and called the DNC to express my views on it.
