Unlike the Dems, wordy, that just bend over to appease everyone?

It is this kind of school yard "My dad can beat the crap out of your dad" stuff that makes it hard to even discuss politics. I think those of you who draw the hard line between right-wing and left-wing are forgetting it is those of us who can see things in a more moderate light that decide the president.

Obama has shown that while he is a Democrat he pretty much has stayed the same throughout, very liberal. McCaine has done the same. Hillary has been so wishy-washy that you can't trust her. It is going to come down to Obama and McCaine with McCaine winning because the VOTERS will decide his experience and stance against terrorism trump Obama's "feel good" wishes. The only heat each has faced is from within their own parties. As soon as it is one-on-one, Obama will face the full onslaught of the race and I do not think he will bode well.

I agree with you for the most part...

BUT...being a moderate is like sitting on the fence. If you are a moderate who do you send your donations to, the Moderate party? Are you a registered Moderate? Who is running for the Moderate party this election?

the political genius is wrong again...

To be moderate is not to sit on the fence...a moderate has no fence. They move freely from one yard to another. IF they like a republican stance they'll support that and likewise with a democrat stance. Moderates don't buy into the party bullshit and vote strictly for their party because it's their party.

I disagree.....you can't vote for the moderate party...you can have your moderate views but eventually migrate to one side.

I have some (very few) things I agree with the Dems on....does that make me a moderate?

I think you took the wrong meaning from the statement. The highlighted part sits separately. That highlighted part is what the moderates don't buy into. Moderates feel free to vote republican or democrat or independent or even green or libertarian. They vote for the person that they feel most comfortable with, they don't vote for one party or another.

Pretty much, it then becomes a "brokered convention." The definition of that is here Brokered convention - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
