| Presidential candidates on gun rights It was brought up in another thread about one candidate’s stance on gun rights. It’s a topic that deserves its own thread instead of high jacking the topic of that thread. For those that care about our Second Amendment rights the GOA has the good, the bad and the ugly. Follow the link and click on the individual candidate’s profiles. GOA -- 2008 Presidential Candidates and the Second Amendment

I guess that means that the next President will be anti-gun, no matter who you vote for.

| ||||
| By signing them or vetoing them.

| Then the Congressional elections are more important, so pay attention to all. |

| A president can propose new legislation and influence pending legislation. Remember that the AWB only passed by one vote after Bill Clinton arm twisted several Congressmen to change their vote. A President also selects who he wants for appointment as Federal judges that will rule on the Constitutionality of the laws enacted. These are lifetime appointments that can have effects many years into the future. Very much so. Remember that the current Speaker of the House and Majority Leader represents the district of San Francisco, a city that attempted to ban all private possession of handguns.
