This is the exact reason why there is a separation of church and state and our founding fathers knew it could be a mess.

America was founded for freedom from this kind of thing... a break away from the church and the King of England...Have we made full circle now....back to the days when the church had full say regarding politics. Not yet however churches need to stay out of politics but it looks like they are trying to regain a stronghold.

I don't think the America is gonna let these radical christians influence their candidates without a heavy price on the election.

Unbelievable !!!

I just wish folks would post their sources.

John Hagee's McCain Endorsement Sparks Uproar - Politics on The Huffington Post

Does this offset Obama’s endorsement by Louis Farrakhan?

We were not talking about McCain bob. Nice try at attempting to change the subject without addressing the question.

The thread is titled "Democrats Demise" not bash the Democrats or compare the Democrats. That kind of spin will work with some, but the majority of people will still want to know where and what Obama and Hillary stand for. I mentioned along time ago on this board about what I felt were Obama's weakness', and his wife and his church were numnber one. Feel good speeches, preaching the gospel of hope, we will make changes..........they are all good but lose steam without a strong backing and logical ways to accomplish them. The major media has fallen in love with Obama and has refused to treat him like a candidate. Instead they treat him like the second coming........and the hell they will pay will be costly. For the major media to attack one of the poster children of the Democratic party (Ferraro) and to completely take her statement out of context is going to hurt Obama because rational people will see it for what it is. The spin doctors who will try and downplay what the pastor preaches, well, it won't wash. He may have helped many black people, he may have made huge contributions to the community.......but in the end it reminds me of a joke I heard.

"Yes my name is Trevor. I have built many, many bridges. Some of the most beautiful bridges. Some of the strongest bridges. I have built bridges my whole life. You think people remember me as "Trevor the bridge builder"? Hell no!.....you get caught having sex with a chicken......."

Obama spent, and is still spending, 20 years as a member of this church. Now........If you knew, and it was known publically, and you had known for years that the pastor of your church was, oh, say a card carrying member of the KKK, do you think you would have a chance of being President? Do you think a lame excuse of "Well, he has his ideas but I do not agree with them" would fly if you STILL went to his church and refused to denounce it?

The Obama campaign says they have no plans to ask the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to step down from a campaign spiritual advisory committee. They're stressing that this committee -- the African American Religious Leadership Committee -- was a laundry list of people associated with the campaign and didn't really do anything. The group never actually met....
No plans for Wright to step down - First Read - msnbc.com

Swell. Obama has a committee of cronies that doesn’t meet or do anything. Is this how he plans to run the government?

Another thing.........have you noticed that what Obama's wife has been saying in her speeches closely matches what Wright preaches? (No Dr. Sues rhyming intended)

It is going to get ugly.

It’s in line with her college thesis.

Ugly is putting it nicely.

Regardless of the circumstances underwhich I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second."

When you start adding all the faux pas together it starts to add up to not be accidental at all.

Let me count the ways.

Didn't wear his flag pin

Didn't put his hand over his heart (whether it was required or not is not the issue. Shoulda done it anyway You are running for president )

Wife has finely became proud of being an American.....(Say What ?.. seems to me you were blessed with ole American way) Move over to Kenya and see if your kids get as far as you have in life............FU*K these ingrates....
Then there is the "CHURCH OF WHATS HAPPENING NOW".....( Flip Wilson)
Well we know whats happening now...and has been happening for 25 or more years. Spewing hatred... of the white race.

The Obama family just immunized themselves from that ??? Huh
The Rev is a Marine vet............. so ??? and your telling us this because...???
What does that mean ??

The Web page says it all...

It says something about keeping their Black values.... WTF are black values... Your men are disproportionatly (ms) in prison.... How do you figure that when they commit most of the crimes........... most against their own race.... They proudly display gansta mentality...do drugs ...shoot cops their music videos are just one hair away from being porno...ON AN ON AND ON.....The leaders then say ...."Oh its just their way of expressing their feeling of the unjust way they are treated in White man land................Try all that shit in Africa...you know..where your roots are....OI VEY You better be glad that Americans have cultivated tolerance and forgiveness....Most of all ...you better be proud to have been born in America and look at your slave ancestors as a blessing and say Ok a bad thing happened but it has turned out for the good...THANK YOU JESUS.

THAT WHOLE BUNCH HAS BROUGHT DISGRACE TO MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. He is rolling over ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHH

Anyway thats just a small sampling of the poor poor pitiful me that the white man wont give me a chance BS.....that blacks want to use as an excuse for bad behavior.....

Back to the Obamas..... Nuff said for now....

Im pissed (WHEW)

I don't have a dog in this fight. John McCain was screwed over by the republicans 8 years ago when he could have been a better president than he can be now. I'm less than thrilled by Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton and Obama, while a good speaker, will require a learning curve that I am not at all sure we (the poor, overtaxed, out-of-work, exhausted, vunerable) mainstream have time for. We're facing a recession, perhaps even a depression, but Obama is the best story and the one the media wants and needs for it's story, it'll make a great movie. What happens to a great country seems to be immaterial. As for me, I'd like go to a beach somewhere where the 24 hour news channels can be easily avoided, not look at any newspapers or receive any mail (email included) and check back in 4 years to see how things turned out.
