I'm still a BO supporter. I just know that arguing with you guys will do anything but waste my time. You won't think my way and I surely won't think yours. Been there done that have about 20 of the t-shirts.

By the way, I also respect your own choice and I would expect you to do the same.

I respect your choice and do not want to change your mind. I think it's great you will vote for BO. I am obviously on the other side of the isle and do think differently which is why I can't support BO. I just like to have spirited banter back and forth because what happens is that we learn more about him and the other candidates.

What do you like about obama the most....and did the recent video's about his church and his mentor have any affect on how you feel about him?

Thanks AOO. I don't always get the idea that you respect other opinions. It's good to know I am wrong.

The videos about his church and his pastor did not really bother me at all. I think some of it was taken out of context but I also think that I wouldn't want some of my friends/old mentors/teachers/preachers to all of a sudden but considered my mouth piece. I can love, admire, care and even take advice from people that I don't think exactly like and that doesn't make their mistakes mine.

I also am not reactionary to every bit of news that comes out. I'll research it and form my own opinion based on the information out there. I try to keep realities in perspective even in a time of hyper-reactionary political campaigns. I do the same for McCain. When I read about his possible affair I didn't pick up the news articles and run with it. I did a little research and listened to his response and said "yep, that was just about someone trying to get a reaction" and moved on.

Army, that's a bunch of BS! Give me a reason to vote FOR your man and I will consider it.
Other than he's NOT hillary or BO or anyone else who doesn't smell right.

Hillary and Obama smell funny?

Really?

I hadn’t heard that one before.

You’re not just trying to start rumors are you Bob?

McCain is not "my man" first of all. I typically lean to the RIGHT side because their overall platform represents what I want. I don't want taxes to go up for me or anyone else....(wealthy included) I believe in a strong military and finishing what we have started whether it was wrong or right to go into Iraq...we need to come out with a win. I believe in individual responsibility and would like to see a little tougher stance on illegal immigration (although McCain won't do that). I don't believe in socialism, gov't healthcare, able bodied people that can work ..should work and not depend on handouts from the gov't. I am against gun control. Most of these idea's are supported by the republican party.

NOW...BOB...if you think illegals should vote, have a drivers license and a path to citizenship (amnesty), want taxes raised, support gun control (see DC and San Fran both liberal run cities) and our military to leave Iraq as a loser and want healthcare free whether you earn it or not....then that's fine...vote for Obama. That's what makes this country great.

Its only fair to post something positive. I am still flip flopping.......SO ?

I may see something or hear something that angers me.... but then I may hear or see something that touches me differently...SO?

This is sweet.

YouTube - Barack Obama bi-racial roots, Kansas White Mom & Grandfather

YouTube - Obama's Tribute to his Mother [Audiobook CD]

Something came into my pinhead this morning without watching a news program... it just came to me on its own...(Army)

Why is it that Republicans jump up and down and get all bent out of shape at welfare in America... and have no problem creating welfare states in foreign nations ?....Isn't it the Democrats that promote welfare and dependency on the government... I am perplexed to say the least.

I think everyone agrees that personal responsibility is the first choice.
I know( and it doesn't matter how this crap started. BUSH and the yes bunch) that this war has destroyed infrastructure and lives in Iraq. I understand that.

Why can't we bring the troops home and just keep sending welfare money?

We can give them instructions.... No No on the fighting, let the refugees come home, everyone live in peace...OR ELSE. Oh and by the way... for every suicide bomber and IED that blows up... your check is reduced..so you better make sure your national security handles that period....ok..

THIS IS SARCASIM FOLKS...

I was thinking about our Republican administration...with backing from Congress.. paying insurgents to NOT fight...(I did hear that but not lately.)

So here I go researching again... whew

First want to give the background of the author.
He served as an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration earning fame as the "Father of Reaganomics"

Paul Craig Roberts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Now one of his articles.

Paying Insurgents Not to Fight
