| I think for most "change" is viewed as a double edged sword. If you find yourself doing better today than 10 years ago, then you may agree that some things need change, but you also realize seldom does change ONLY happen to what you want changed. You realize indeed things could be worse. For this reason you are leery of the idea of change. If you find yourself worse off than you were 10 years ago, then you will feel that any change is better than the situation you are in now. You feel it's unlikely that change could be for the worse. It's been my experience that change has never worked out as well as I planned.

| We had "change" when Blair turned the job over to dysfunctional incompetent Brown without any reference to the electorate - at least under your democratic process you have a say in the matter. As a matter of fact I believe your democratic process is far more "democratic" than ours - you have primaries, we don't; you have two elected assemblies, the Congress & Senate, we don't, we have an elected House of Commons and an unelected House of Lords. You elect your President, our Prime Minister is elected from within his own party.

| I'm hearing a lot of "fear" over the subject of change - its very unlike you Americans, you're usually so positive! - embrace it and go forward. Change is never all good or all bad, but accentuate the positive ...... I feel a song coming on ....

| I'm all about change...but I want change for the better. I don't want big tax increases for anyone...I don't want socialized medicine...etc. Those are changes we DON'T need.

| I'm with AoO on this one. I'm all for change, but my experience with our government is we need to know which direction the change is headed. To blindly say we want change is the wrong message to send our leaders.
