Hell don't be sorry Lizzy. I was merely commenting on AoO's comment about poor people. I was asking HIM for HIS point of reference regarding poor people. I didn't intend to "hold him to a standard". I was just trying to discern his level of expertise in the field of poverty since he had commented in an earlier post on the needs of poor people.

Now if my question to Army appears to you as trying to "hold him to a standard", I guess I need to make my questions shorter and more concise or start typing slower. Sorry for the confusion.

No confusion on my part. You tried to deflect AOO criticism of some of the poor's excessive lifestyle. Excessive being that they go and live beyond their means, they purchase new cars without needing it, they buy a new tv and sacrifice healthy living to have it. This doesn't mean that there aren't poor people who do need help it just means that some of the poor are not as poor as they really are in comparison to not only US standards but world standards as a whole.

Thanks for explaining my thoughts to me. This doesn't mean that I don't know my own thoughts and sometimes need someone to explain them to me it just means that some people don't know their own thoughts as much as they think they do when compared to other people in the world.
