    Twelve percent of Democrats say they will support McCain in the general election. That's higher than the 8 percent of Democrats who defected to President Bush in 2004. Nearly a quarter of Clinton supporters say they will back McCain instead of Obama in the general election.

    McCain leads Obama by 8 points among registered independent voters, considered a key voting block in November. The Arizona senator leads Obama 46 percent to 38 percent, with 11 percent of respondents undecided.

    Then there’s stuff like this;

    Barack Obama's half brother Malik said Thursday that if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background.

    What Muslim background? Is big brother part of a vast right-wing conspiracy?

    And this;

    Obama's older brother still lives there. Abongo "Roy" Obama is a Luo activist and a militant Muslim who argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture." He urges his younger brother to embrace his African heritage.....

    A militant Muslim brother? That can't be good.

    All Democrats need to worry about this;

    I'll look for the truth wherever I can find it. You can try to spin it your way however you see fit but the best you'll be able to do is to sit and spin.

    But to answer you poorly worded trap, Yes I keep an eye on Rush and read Faux news and even Bill on occasion.

    See, I'm very much willing to look at as many sides as possible.

    You guys should try it.

    It’s good that you look around Wordy. I don’t limit myself either.

    I see a lot of problems within the Democrat party when it comes to your guy Obama. Check out what I stumbled across today. As usual, Republicans are getting blamed for this too. It’s going to be a very interesting convention.

    Fred Hobbs, a state Democratic Party Executive Committee member representing part of Davis’ district, said he understands why Davis is not endorsing Obama and is “skeptical” of the Illinois senator himself.

    “Maybe [it’s] the same reason I don’t want to — I don’t exactly approve of a lot of the things he stands for and I’m not sure we know enough about him,” Hobbs said when asked why he thought Davis wasn’t endorsing Obama. “He’s got some bad connections, and he may be terrorist connected for all I can tell. It sounds kind of like he may be.”

    The latest word is no. They’ll have one for sure one way or another but it’s likely going to be a no frills affair.

    DENVER (AP) — The host committee for the Democratic National Convention faces a possible shortfall of $15 million, complicating logistics for the August event and forcing it to abruptly postpone a media walkthrough of the site scheduled for next week.

    The Democratic National Committee has asked the cash-strapped panel to raise $40.6 million by Monday to finance the event. Last month, the committee said it had just $25 million in cash, and it has failed to meet each of several fundraising deadlines since signing a contract with the DNC last year.

    Maybe not so deep pockets. His fundraising has fallen off the last three months and some of Hillary’s donors are jumping the Democrat ship for McCain.

    Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is attracting elite Jewish Democratic donors who backed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) and are concerned about Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) stance toward Israel, say McCain backers who are organizing the effort to court Democrats.

    McCain has already had several fundraising events with Jewish Democrats in Washington and Florida, say his supporters.

    And just when you might think there couldn’t be any more BS at a political convention along comes this. Kinda makes you appreciate the breeze in Dodge on a warm summer night.

    Political activists planning protest rallies at the upcoming Democratic Convention in Denver have their stomachs in knots over a rumor about a crowd control weapon - known as the “crap cannon” - that might be unleashed against them.

    Also called “Brown Note,” it is believed to be an infrasound frequency that debilitates a person by making them defecate involuntarily.

    Mark Cohen, co-founder of Re-create 68, an alliance of local activists working for the protection of first amendment rights, said he believes this could be deployed at the convention in August to subdue crowds.

    “We know this weapon and weapons like it have been used at other large protests before,” he said.
