    A tense moment for Obama

Inexperience and arrogance is a bad combination.

Sources at the meeting said that Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, a Clinton supporter, expressed the desire that Obama and his campaign would reach out the millions of women still aggrieved about what happened in the campaign and still disappointed that Clinton lost.

Obama agreed that a lot of work needs to be done to heal the Democratic Party, and that he hoped the Clinton supporters in the room would help as much as possible.

According to Rep. Yvette Clarke, D-N.Y., Obama then said, "However, I need to make a decision in the next few months as to how I manage that since I'm running against John McCain, which takes a lot of time. If women take a moment to realize that on every issue important to women, John McCain is not in their corner, that would help them get over it."

Rep. Diane Watson, D-Calif., a longtime Clinton supporter, did not like those last three words -- "Get over it." She found them dismissive, off-putting.

"Don't use that terminology," Watson told Obama.
ABC News: Sparks Fly at Black Caucus Meeting

Folks, even I know enough to not tell a woman to just “Get over it.” At least he didn’t call them “women-folk” or “sweetie”. The stupidity here is he said it in front of the Congressional Black Caucus, a group of super-delegates. He doesn’t yet have the lock on the nomination and he can’t afford to be pissing off the folks that he needs to get it.

Worst, if he can offend a fellow black Democrat, what is he going to do in a meeting with foreign leaders?

    Get over it!

Politicians are like diapers, they both need changed occasionally for the same reason.

give it up, obama has already won. your inexperience line is hilarious considering you lemmings follow gw bush, a guy whose experience included bankrupting an oil company and running a losing baseball team. both given to him by his dad.

I think you boys need to grow some thicker skin. There’s still four months until the election.

And LAdodger, BO hasn’t already won. That’s the point. He only has delegate pledges for the convention. Those super delegates could turn on him and hand it to Hillary if he rubs them the wrong way. And he just insulted one or more in a room full of super delegates. Not a shining moment for BO.
