    Revelation 13

1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

    Mihai in Romanian means Michael.

Please Binky, research your BO BS just a little before you try to run a mouse up our leg.

Did you know that BO's aunt married Putin?
His brother is legal counsel to ahmadinejad?
    His sister is the Pope?

    CHAEL Gender: Masculine
    Usage: English, German, Czech, Biblical
Pronounced: MIE-kəl (English), MI-khah-el (German) [key]
From the Hebrew name מִיכָאֵל (Mikha'el) meaning "who is like God?". This is a rhetorical question, implying no person is like God. Saint Michael was one of the seven archangels in Hebrew tradition and the only one identified as an archangel in the Bible. In the Book of Revelation in the New Testament he is portrayed as the leader of heaven's armies, and thus is considered the patron saint of soldiers. The popularity of the saint led to the name being used by nine Byzantine emperors, including Michael VIII Palaeologus who restored the empire in the 13th century. It has been common in Western Europe since the Middle Ages, and in England since the 12th century. It has been borne (in various spellings) by rulers of Russia (spelled Михаил), Romania (Mihai), Poland (Michał), and Portugal (Miguel). Other more modern bearers of this name include the British chemist/physicist Michael Faraday (1791-1867) and basketball player Michael Jordan (1963-).

Mihai can mean Michael but it can also mean "who is like God?" - see link
    MIHAI
Who says its rhetorical? That is just plain supposition with no evidence whatsoever to support it.To me it all fits as part of the whole, lets not forget we're looking at a lot more besides one word.
And doesn't "he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men" fit well with him being a war plane pilot?

Just because you say it is rhetorical doesn't make it rhetorical Justoo, as much as I respect your opinion.

In fact you can find many examples of the phrase without a question mark after it, which changes it into a statement not a question.

    Examples:
Michael's name means 'He who is like God' or 'He who looks like God'
    • » From: Hebrew
    • » Sex: Male
    • » Meaning: Who is like God
ETYMOLOGY: Michael means "He who is like God." The name is of Hebrew origin.

    Mi- in Michael means "who?"
Kha is an abbreviated Hebrew form of Kmo, that is "like, compared to",
and El is a Divine name. So "who is like God" More an exclamation that a question, like in the Song of the Sea, sung by Israel after the parting of the Red Sea.
Stop and think for a moment - "Who is like God?" - Does it even sound like a proper question - to my mind it sounds far more like a staement than a question.

Please try to keep up, Binky.
    I try ..... :) honest ....

Rhetorical was not my opinion. I took the line from a previous post ( mine which you did not read) which was taken from a website that explained the meaning of names.

I would suggest that they researched the meaning of names (and the Hebrew language) considerably more than you research the assinine mud that you sling. I am trying to take the high road in these political discussions, but it is difficult to look you in the eye when you refuse to wipe the regurgitation off of your bib.

I not only read it but found the website.

My quotes also came from websites that also researched the issue, so it proves nothing, but common sense tells us that it is a statement rather than a question.

"Who is like God?" Binks , think of it in an archaic sense. How did they speak when the name was first used? Forget the Romanians in your paranoid visions.

No wonder they don't let you Brits have guns. Your reading material is dangerous enough.
Did you know Obama was the AntiChrist?
