| I have no idea who either candidate will pick. We all make jokes and such but the unfortunate thing is WHY the candidates are chosen. I believe they choose candidates for purely political means/gain and not who would be the best candidate. I really don't care because I believe that the Veep doesn't make THAT big of deal. Are very many people going to sway either way BECAUSE of a VP pick? I mean...look..Bush still won despite CHeney?!?

| I think both candidates should pick VP's based mostly on their qualifications, but also based on the flaws of the candidate. People cite Obama's youth and lack of experience. Maybe he should pick Wesley Clark, and older guy with a very distinguished military background. Maybe McCain should pick Romney, a well qualified, younger, more charismatic person to balance out McCain being older and more blunt. I do agree that the VP is kind of an overrated postition. I mean, look at who we've had the last several years: Quayle, Gore, and Cheney. It doesn't get much worse than that. |
