US Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has announced that Joe Biden will be his running mate in November's election.
Mr Obama's choice, confirmed on his website, comes ahead of next week's Democratic Party convention.
Mr Biden, a 65-year-old veteran lawmaker, has over three decades of Senate experience and is highly respected on foreign policy issues.

He's a spring chicken, besides he's running as VP not for the Presidency as the old fella is. Plus he actually knows something about foreign policy!

Gotta love politic'ers.

So now we'll see the Left flipflop on the age issue, and now age will be called "experience" and be a good thing. But thats OK because it will only help McCain.

What disturbs me about this sort of thing is that this guy, who ever he is, seems to be the polar opposite of Obama. I understand trying to play both sides of the field, but only if you believe people don't like how you are playing your side of the field.

Will we see McCain pick a young black Liberal? I doubt it. I think we will see McCain pick a VP that is along McCain's beliefs. Another big difference in these two candidates. McCain believes in what he stands for, while Obama will do anything to be president.

Obama claims to stand for change and picks guy that spent the last 35 years in the Senate.

Obama denounces lobbyist money and picks a guy that has taken over $5 million from lobbyists.

Obama claims judgment in opposing the Iraq war and picks a guy that voted for the war.

What did Joe Biden say about Obama last year?

It’s presumed that Obama picked Biden to offset his lack of foreign relations experience.

In a meeting a month after 9/11 Biden ponders a response to the Arab world.

At the Tuesday-morning meeting with committee staffers, Biden launches into a stream-of-consciousness monologue about what his committee should be doing, before he finally admits the obvious: "I'm groping here." Then he hits on an idea: America needs to show the Arab world that we're not bent on its destruction. "Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran," Biden declares. He surveys the table with raised eyebrows, a How do ya like that? look on his face.

Maybe one of Obama’s 300 foreign policy advisors will tell Joe that Iranians are Persians, not Arabs.

I’ve already heard Biden called a target rich environment this morning. I’m beginning to see why.
