The white male vote is what elects the pres. In the past elections Gore and Kerry both carried the black and female vote in OVERWHELMING proportions and still lost the election. If you don't win the white guy you don't win. PERIOD.

NOW having said that if black people turn out in record numbers and vote 95% Democrat like they usually do then that might be a problem.

You're right..it's simple math.

There are a LOT more whites. I think Obama will carry the vast majority of the minority and women votes, but the difference will come when he carries the majority of white males, too.

Lets not forget he will also carry the Gay/Lesbian voter block in overwhelming numbers.

He will also have most of the illegal immigrants voting for him also. (yes they do manage to vote in some places)

We'll see about the white male vote.....They are not so much into the American Idol.

I wouldn't be thanking Bush for that. If he was due the credit, you guys would be home already. But thank someone..it's about time.

I listened to her talk today and I have got to say I did like her, but I am voting for Obama. If there is going to be a woman in the white house it better be someone with more experience than her. The snakes in the house on the hill will slime all over her and eat her right up. No problem whatsoever. She said she knew about the good ole boy system and fought against it; however she has not played with the best like Hillary has. If they are trying to replace her with Hill to get the women vote, I have got to laugh at this one. Just my opinion. I am happy though that a woman has the chance to be in the White House.

You're correct, we don't need more wars. But we do need to protect ourselves and our interests. When it comes to foreign policy, McCain beats Obama hands down. Obama would have us revert to a policy of isolationism or a policy of making us look like pansies in the world view. It's bad enough that we still clear everything... well almost everything... with the UN. That body is almost totaly useless. I think that when it comes to handling an international crisis, I would want McCain over Obama.

And for the record, where did McCain say "If elected, I will give the people more wars." I think he said he would keep troops in Iraq and engaged in the war on terror until we won. I could be wrong though.
