There is nothing wrong with criticism. Without criticism, idleness and complacency would rule..

We should always be skeptical and critical of how our government spends our tax dollars. It doesn't seem justifiable that we need to spend THAT much on our military. There's a LOT of PORK there that needs to be CUT. Bureaucracy generally= extra fat. Let's find it -- n' take care of it.

There is a big difference when someone says they like Obama because he is black and liking McCain because he is white. Have you noticed we've never had a black candidate before?

It's not that one thinks that since he is black he is favorable -- It's the idea there! It represents so much more. Progression..the end of bigotry..equality! Or at least the hope that we're on that path.

At least that's how I would interpret a comment like that.

What I like about McCain.....

Seldom flip-flops on issues. He looks pretty decent in a suit for an "old fella" (thanks, Binky, for that mind-picture - I didn't wanna go there). He chose one hell of a running mate. Fairly easy on the eyes (so says my hubby), smart, articulate and no doubt could fulfill the rest of the presidency, if so called, with grace and intelligence. And abides by a moral compass. From what I know so far, she tells it exactly like it is.

Yeah, she tried to get Alaska to suceed from the union, but I'm not sure that was her real intention. I believe her real intention was to draw attention to the fact that Alaska COULD do it if things didn't improve.

Yep, that's it. Lots happened while I was gone! Hubby & I sat in the hotel room in DC and heard Sara Palin introduced and could not believe it. I am fully on the bandwagon now.
