What I Do Like About McCain!

I did like that he said that we would stop sending over $700 billion to the countries that don't like us and criticize us.

I also liked that he said he would veto bills with the "pork barrel spending" in them, and name the Senators and Congressmen that try to push the "pork" through!

Politicians are like diapers, they both need changed occasionally for the same reason.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist"

The hard work of one will do more than the prayer of millions.

I like the latter of the two....it sounds good but I wonder as President how much power he would really have to stop that type of spending. Some things have to be signed (budget for example) and congress people always attach their spending to the bills.....

I think the President should have a line item veto power.

I think it is time for a minority president or a woman. Don't care for Obama or Hillary, but I do think it is time. Then we can see if either is successful and able to handle it.
NEVER trust anyone who does not RESPECT opposing points of view!

Wasn’t that tried about 13 years ago and overturned by the courts?

Isn't line-item veto talked about during every election? It never happens, though - it's too handy for the lawmakers to attach their crap at the last minute and we'd never get good laws passed.
