May I ask what legislation Obama has sponsored or what bills has he passed that cause you to think he would make a good president. What has he accomplished? (keeping this positive!)
I think we're in trouble, too. And I don't think that alludes defeat. It says, LET'S DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. :)

Here you go for Obama's record:

either works. govtrack is a pretty neat site, though.

Thanks aggie. You really are starting to get it....

Lets look at his missed votes.... and watch him soar above the worst ranking.

The absentee rate is in red. The two black dotted lines provide a context for understanding the significance of the absentee rate. The lower dotted line shows the median value for all Members of Congress in that time period. The upper dotted line shows the 90th percentile. A Member who approaches the upper dotted line is in the worst 10 percent of Congress.
The problem with the financial crisis is....
none of the people working on it have a financial crisis.

I don't need to say this more than 1 time

    Go Palin...For President!!

What a spark! She is more of a "normal person" than any other political candidate in years. Love to see that she has a pregnant teenager! Love to see she has a son with Down's Syndrome and is still breast-feeding. All this points to is our own family life or even a neighbor. No "polished" past! Loving it!! She is making the media nuts lose their credibility with every article they write! Isn't this neat!

I think she will be great in the debates. I am not impressed soley that she is a woman, but a politician with a past like hers makes her very enlightening!

Here’s a little something to kick off the day.

The Democrat pundits and talking heads on TV keep telling us that Hillary supporters will come around and get behind Obama in November. Most will, but in an election that is this close a few million can make or break Obama. I went surfing to a couple of Hillary sites this morning and here’s a small sample of what I found.

Note to Obama supporters: Keep it up.

That wouldn't be about the same time he hit the campaign trail, could it?

John McCain missed 733 of 4099 roll call votes (18%) since Feb 4, 1993. The graph below shows the percent of roll call votes John McCain was absent for during the member’s time in Congress.

McCain did the same thing but started way back in July of 2006.

WAIT! You mean if they're campaigning they're not always present for votes?!?! NO WAY!!!!!!!

I think one reason that candidates miss so many votes while they are running for office is because not only are they not there...but they also don't want to commit to anything that can be used against them. If they vote a certain way then they are on record for or against a certain topic.

And.....not only might they support the initial legislation, but may not support the added-on amendments. To make the intiial legislation pass, they have to "support" the add-ons. I wouldn't want to be in that position in an election year.

Yeah...it's called leadership...making tough decisions that won't make everyone happy.
