What are the Repugs trying to hide?

"Openess and transparency" are not the hallmarks of our right-wing Republican friends so I guess we shouldn't be surprised by their attempts to by-pass or circumvent public-record law!

Palin routinely uses a private Yahoo e-mail account to conduct state business. Others in the governor's office sometimes use personal e-mail accounts, too.

The practice raises questions about backdoor secrecy in an administration that vowed during the 2006 campaign to be "open and transparent."

Even before the McCain campaign plucked Palin from Alaska, a controversy was brewing over e-mails in the governor's office. Was the administration trying to get around the public-records law through broad exemptions or private e-mail accounts?

Activists, still fighting to obtain hundreds of e-mails that were withheld from public-records requests earlier this year, say that's what it looks like.

The governor's Yahoo account is "the most nonsensical, inane thing I've ever heard of," said Andree McLeod, who is appealing the administration's decision to withhold e-mails.
"Where you've got a governor apparently using a Yahoo account for state business, that's kind of a complete inversion of what ought to be happening in terms of public records," said Charles Davis, executive director of the National Freedom of Information Coalition and a Missouri journalism associate professor.

"E-mail that's public business ought to be done on public accounts that can become public record," he said.

    He's BA-ack! Welcome back Binks.
President Obama has responded to our national debt spiralling out of control by calling for the creation of a Deficit Commission to find solutions to the problem. Coulter suggests The Deficit Commission's first recommendation should be "resign immediately Mr. President."

Nice to be back although I'm off tomorrow to the Canary Islands for a few weeks lying in the sun under a palm tree with a nice cool gin & tonic and a slice of fresh lemon .... but when I get back, refreshed and reinvigorated I'll be posting on here ...can't wait ...

Few weeks? It'll be just in time...

All great religions, in order to escape absurdity, have to admit a dilution of agnosticism. It is only the savage, whether of the African bush or the American gospel tent, who pretends to know the will and intent of God exactly and completely.

Nice. You know, her Yahoo account was hacked. Details were published. I wonder why the media isn't all over that story... probably has something to do with the fact that there was nothing juicy in her mailbox.

I'm telling you, this is the funniest damn thing to happen. Her PRIVATE email gets hacked......and still nothing is found. Not one damn thing. Talk about a bay of pigs! I actually kind of feel sorry for Obama. I give him the benifit of doubt because I doubt he would seriously sanction all this hype and hysteria surrounding Palin. The far-left loons are going to kill him come election time because they just do not know when to stop or when to shut up. All the vicious hatred that they keep spewing is just going to smack them because people are tired of it. To hear the WOMEN on the View spewing hatred and condamnation towards her...do they not realize that MOST of American women are not like Hillary? Then you get the moveon.org mouthpieces out there...whats next, they gonna get some rapper to write a song about bangin her? Just simply incredible.
There is a very obvious difference between pissing in a pool and pissing into a pool. Politicians can't seem to tell that.
