Thread: Kern - Making Oklahoma Proud

  1. If that were the case - gays would have been getting married for years. Always love it when ya hear that "yeah I accept it but don't condone it" stance. I just don't think society is going to buy that much longer. If it's "accepted" it should be legal. Hell we "accept" liquor and it's protected by law. Bout time gay marriage was too. I don't understand all the hoo rah about letting them get married to begin with. They would pay more taxes if they were married.:)

I can't see how a gay couples' marriage has anything to do with a straight couples' marriage. More taxes, more attorney fees, more marriage license fees - what could be better?

you are the one that began comparing straight and gay unions, saying that gay relationships lasted longer. i don't buy that, nor do you have any data supporting that. relationships last because of the committment of the two people involved, not because they are gay or straight.

glad you love the "accept it but don't condone it" stance. i and a lot of others are the "society" that still feel this way as the gay movement has grown in size and power. we are still entitled to our feelings on the issue even if it is not the PC view.

thirdly, as i posted several times already, we do AGREE that a gay couple should have legal rights and benefits that are afforded straight couples, whether it be end of life issues, healthcare benefits, or anything else.

  3. Oh I bet we agree on more than that one issue - :)

don't agree with all but can agree with you on the last part!

All great religions, in order to escape absurdity, have to admit a dilution of agnosticism. It is only the savage, whether of the African bush or the American gospel tent, who pretends to know the will and intent of God exactly and completely.
