| Unless it has changed very recently, the city limit sign on 14th is by a well house close to halfway between McArtor and Hwy 56. If you are traveling north there used to be a sign that warned you of the slower speed at the city limit, suggesting to me that south of the city limits is a county road where the speed limit would be 55mph.

| Buba, I am sure you are right on the speed limit going north but going south unless it has changed lately it is still 30 MPH. I have not been to Dodge since I posted my question, so can't say this for sure but plan on checkig this week end. It is no big deal one way or another I was just wondering cause we come back to Minneola this way and have been going east on McArther to avoid the 30MPH for a mile.Anyway thanks for you response to my question.Have a great day!! |

| I don't see how it could be different speed limits on the same section of road on a county road. But that is my common sense again, and we all know how lawmakers usually have very little common sense. Maybe one of the DC police officers can chime in with some correct information.

| 14th street is a wacky street at it's outskirts. They do not post signs to indicate the increase in speed limit going out, just the decrease coming into town. yeah, it's strange BTW- I have been talking to the county 'bout having the north end of 14th (110 rd) north of Ross raised from 55 to 65mph. They told me I would have to have 75% of the residents who reside on the street sign a petition, for starters. I did better than that, I got 100%. Simply because I am the only resident of that road...LOL

| I have no idea about this area, to tell you the truth - havent really looked at it since it is out in the county. However, as mentioned, wacky things can occur - such as Ave P...going southbound, it is a city street from Comanche to Wyatt Earp, so 30 mph. But, going northbound, it is a county road and unmarked, so I believe it is 55...strange, huh... |

| Sometimes they mark them, sometimes they don't. Such as Lariat way and North Ave A - they are both marked. But Correction line and 110 are not, yet they are well paved and well traveled. One might think the lack of uniformity is to keep us all guessing so they can can issue more tickets.

| You are right, one side is city and the other county, but the speed limit on Avenue P is 45 mph both directions from Comanche to Wyatt Earp.
