dodge city people soaked by local gas prices

Last Friday, I was filling up with gas at the Qwik Shop on Wyatt Earp and 14th when they ran out of regular unleaded. The manager on duty said that it was because something happened to their supplier from Great Bend after the wicked weather we had about a month ago. So, they had to get fuel from another source. I don't know if that could be part of the problem out our way or not.

Up here in KC, the gas prices are killin' me! Just glad I'll be out of town and not driving the car for several days this week.....I think hubby said $40 to fill my VW Jetta and it wasn't all the way empty! I used to pay less than that for a whole tank for the ole Ford pkup!

Could the price in Dodge City be linked to Byron????. Just a question, don't know, a thought perhaps.

Just read in the news that the price of gas may go even higher, due to the flooding of the plant in Coffeyville.....any excuse to gouge us!

Both of these are true, however, I think we are still getting "molested"!!

I heard the same thing: $4 by the end of the summer. But only in Kansas. I guess Missouri gets their gas from different refineries? I'll just stop for gas on my way home. Glad I can do that and sorry for you that you can't.....

I wanna know what happened to Wally World usually being the lowest on the market. In Woodward, Houston and Denton, I had always seen competitive prices, but here, there are times they're as high as the stations along South Second. (10 - 20+ cents]

I drove by somewhere in Dodge last week and saw gas at $2.99. I just wish I could remember where. The first thing I thought of was Flying J and wondered what it was there since they are usually the lowest in town. I wasnt able at the time to check on it though. Ill be checking today.... getting a little (a LOT) low.

I paid 2.81 in Wichita yesterday.
It was 2.99 in Dodge at Kwik Shop.
