dodge city people soaked by local gas prices

I know what you mean. I have never understood that place. I NEVER buy there and I have never seen a vehicle at the pump. The whole town knows that place as the highest gas in town.

Soon, The guy that owns the River Stop and the place on the bypass will get the same reputation. For the past year, he's always 5-10 cents higher than everyone else.

West Loves seems to be the place to buy gas these days.

Speedy Stop has been .18 higher than the Central st Kwik shop all summer. I have heard that the Riverstop is the same.

From what I looked at, they are about the highest. Fuel delievered by local supplier.

All independent stations are going to be at least .10 higher than the chain stations. They don't buy that volume. But people still buy there.

I was in Lawrence about 10 days ago, and unleaded was 2.55, compared to 2.79 when I got back to DC. Now that we are in the 2.65 range, I bet Lawrence is probably in the 2.40's.

Not always. Sometimes his mid-grade is a few cents cheaper than KwikShop WITH a Dillons card.

He always seems to be a few days behind. When KwikShop lowers it's prices a couple of days later he lowers his, so for a couple of days he is higher. But it works the other way too. Usually when KwikShop raises it's prices he is also a couple of days behind, so for a couple of days he is cheaper.

The set of pumps nearest the street are self-service. The ones near the garage are full service. But last time I pulled up to a full service pump the guy came out of the little shop there and asked me if I really wanted full service (at a higher price) or did I want to pull around to one of the self service pumps.

Not sure if the posted price is for full or self service but, for mid-grade especially, I find that about 1/3 of the time he is cheaper than KwikShop and because I live in the north of town I have to drive past him to get to KwikShop anyway, so I always have a look first and turn around if I get to KwikShop and the gas is more expensive there.

Just my 2 cents worth, which is about what you will save by shopping around in town.

"Full service" seems very quaint to most Brits, all we have now is self-service at around $10 a gallon, and rising!
