| Weeze, I dunno if avoid it is what I would have wanted. I would have preferred to go in, stomp somebody's sh!t and come back home. But it didn't happen that way. I think of myself as Christian, yet I really, really wanted an eye for an eye after 9-11. I haven't gotten that hatred out of me, yet. Not till OB and all his coward buddies are hangin' by their bawls......

| Jeez, ya know I love ya and respect ya but I have to disagree with any statement that throws out there about the war only being about money. Are companies making money? Yes, yes they are and will for the rest of time. Name one war were somebody didn't make money............... Want to end this war? Well, if you want us out of it quickly, one of two things would do that. 1. Tell Congress to stop funding it. The Democrats controll the purse strings, if they want this war over and truly believe it is in this countries best interest to end it, then they need to stop the funding. 2. Go Roman and forget about our policy in regards to being in another country. Take the whole government out, make Iraq a part of the United States, and take over the country from top to bottom. Neither is going to happen no matter how much we want it over, or how much one hates the Bush administration, or one hates the Democrats.........it just is not going to happen. You do not know thw whole story, I do not know the whole story..........nobody does because nobody knows who to believe. There is nothing but political spin and propoganda from all sides which makes us at home upset and unable to trust. Me, i trust the military and trust them in handling the situation the best way they can.

| Wow, this thread sure took a turn. As for the OP, I am very much a christian and am certainly more offended by the preacher charging than by you calling him out on it. I think it shows where their their focus has landed. My grandpa was a preacher and they were always poor. If he had anything above what they needed, he would give it away to someone who needed it more and he would do it quietly. I admire that sort of living. I don't admire using God's name to make a profit. Seems very much like they are selling fear. |
