| I haven't voted yet, but probably already know who gets my vote. I have read a few posts about some of the entries, but, can someone post the criteria for nominating to this list? I know most of these people, but other than being great people, what did they do for Dodge City in the past year that was so outstanding they are eligible to become "Citizen of the Year"?

| Well I nominated Derise Unruh because she is the director of New chance Inc. and she cares about her clients. She makes calls to her clients when they leave to make sure they are still on the right track. If they are not she tries and gets them back in treatment. some people are in it for the money, Derise truly cares. I also nominated Shirley Newton from Wilroads Garden Christian church. I got married there and Shirley was a HUGE help. Jeff Hiers says she does that for anyone and everyone. Shirley went out of her way to help me in any way. With my parents being gone, and she knew this, she wanted to be there for me. She did anything she could to make it comforatble for me. It was a sad situation and she brightened it up. She would talk about my parents because she knew him them from the past. All her stories made me laugh and remember my parents for that big day. I wish they were there; however Shirley made it to where they were. She gave me the idea of putting my parents pictures on this table for candles and I had rememberence candles for them. She is an awesome lady and I will never forget what she did for me.

| Well, I was looking for Tim Trent. This man invests his life, not just his time, into those who really need help. Tim, If you're reading this, your example of sacrifice and dedication is deeply appreciated by this member of the board. I think the highlight is that your sacrifice is not considered, by you, a sacrifice.

| I thought all the people who were nominated were great choices. Is there anything we can do for all of them too?
