I think he will call it quits. Hell I'd look old and tired too after my team just gave up 220 rushing yards to Tiki Barber. IN the last two weeks the CHiefs played themselves right out of the play offs. IN Dec...the teams that are playoff caliber do what they need to do....Seattle, Pittsburg, and the best example is San Diego going on the road and beating the colts...talk about getting it done! San Diego has my vote for the AFC Wildcard. The Chiefs don't deserve to represent the AFC as the wild card with the way they are playing.....It hurts me to say that but it's the truth.

Damn, did their loss to the Cowboys shake them up that bad that the defense didn't show up to play the Giants?

Well, it's too bad Herman E. doesn't play the game...he only coaches. It's not his play calling..it's his lack of players and talent. Their team has been decimated by injuries. They lost their QB like the 2nd or 3rd game into the season. Where do you think the Chefs would be w/o trent green? The jets were picked as a playoff team preseason....the injury bug has bitten them many times. Herm is a good coach and if we lose Dickie V. then I wouldn't complain about him coming to KC.

Well, one way to find out Army, is give him a chance. Can't be any worse!
By the way, w/o Trent Green, they might be better!! IMO the Chiefs need new receivers, new Coaching, new secondary, and probably a few other things. The O-line is great, but getting old. The defense is better, but still lacking. The QB is sporadic. Larry Johnson has proven to be a good running back-maybe even a great running back, special teams seems to be lacking a little more this year. Alot of the people that the Chiefs got rid of, are starting and excelling on other teams (kinda reminds you of the Royals at times) Look at Tony Dungy, Marty Schottenheimer, and some of the other Coaching. Terrible one place, and great the next!! I just know that I am so disappointed in the Chiefs lately, that I don't even look forward to watching the next "disaster" each week. By the way, I was at the Eagles game. And what a "downturn" that game was!!

Without Trent Green huh? SPORADIC? And who would u suggest. Only 3 qb's with more passing yards this year...Brady, Manning and Palmer...none of which I can see coming to the Chiefs anytime soon. So who would you want instead of Green? He is in the Top 10 in Passer Ratings...again. I ask who would you suggest putting in there..not to mention he's started pretty much every game for the last 4 or 5 years...making him pretty damned durable. I couldn't ask for a better guy in KC.

PS. Kennison has only 200 yds less than Marvin Harrison and averages more Yds per catch than he does at a lot less money.

Yeah, but take Willie Roaf out, and what does Green do?? I think we need to look for a young quarterback to draft and bring up----And no TODD BLACKLEDGE this time!! I am not saying that Green is "terrible", it just seems like sometimes he is just "not there". If the Chiefs could just draft a good college player, and have Green bring him up, then that would be great.

As far as Kennison, I got no problem with him. But as far as a receiver, he is about it. I think some of the ones cut or put on the practice squad, were better than some that made the team. Look at the lineup/depth chart. Boerigter is like the third deep Wide Receiver? And he is a Tight End!

I guess alot of my frustration surrounds the big hype each year prior to the season, then getting such shoddy play as was shown against the Giants. I may be "showing my age" here, but I was around when the Chiefs were Super-powers. Hank Stram, Len Dawson, Mike Garrett, Buck Buchannan, Otis Taylor; and haven't seen that since.

You just can't get caught up in the hype....if you would realistically look at the Chiefs before the season started they were about a 9 win team with their improved but still poor Defense and tough schedule. You just can't get caught up in the hype. .....a lot of teams are one key injury away from their QB being avg. ALL successful qb's have a good line...and yes without Willie R. Green's stats drop but I wonder what Manning would do w/o one of his key linemen. I too though long for a play off team and maybe a super bowl....*sigh
