Fantasy Football
I want to either play in or start a fantasy football league. Does anyone in Dodge know of any standing leagues that have openings? I am an avid FF player and would love to get into a good league.

Yep, I've got one, it's a Yahoo league, and we play for fun, and not to competitive. Anyone can join up if they want, just don't get mad if some of the other players seem like they don't know what is going on. Like me some weeks.

I have been running a FF league for about 8 to 10 teams the last three years. I plan on doing so again - but I am tired of doing it by hand. At one time I saw a program that is fairly cheap that downloads all stats every week and figures up the points based on the scoring put in by the commissioner. Any one know of a program like this?

With yahoo's football, you can specify points and such. Number of teams, roster spots, stuff like that. But there are limits on how many stats are used for different positions, so you can't use all the possible catagories. The leagues i have played in we have always used CBS sportsline.com. IT"s INCREDIBLE. Does everything for you and has all the bells and whistles. U have to enter each team's people but that doesn't take too long. You set your scoring and rules. IT has a commish page and news of the league and everyone can post on a chat board to talk smack. It costs about 120 bucks for the season but if you spread that out amonth 10 teams it is only a few bucks each. You can set transactions fee's and such and it keeps track of all the add/drops and such. IT ROCKS. I would be glad to show it to you sometime if you call me. If ur interested let me know and I'll shoot u my cell number. If you have any open spots I would be interested in your league? Is it a money league? Most I have played in is 50 - 100 to enter and then 5 bucks a transaction. At the end of the year they pay out 1st/2nd3rd in place and playoffs.

Do you do a live draft. We used to all get together on a Sat or Sunday at a local bar, have a powerpoint projector with everyone's teams on it, drink, eat, talk smack and draft...

Here is the link to check out the COMMISSIONER PROGRAM. If you don't wanna run it I would do all computer stuff but you can be the commish. It has real time scoring as the game is going on so anyone can bring up their head to head game and see what their players are doing based on the scoring system of your league. Do the tour part and it will show you.
