| We haven't had a really good team since Hank Stram Coached. Len Dawson, Otis Taylor, Buck Buchannan, Jan Stenerud, Super Gnat, etc. I may be wrong, but I wouldn't have picked Herm Edwards to Coach. I would have at minimum kept Al Saunders. At least we used to have an Offense-------- ![]() |

| I hate to disagree with ya, mitUSA, but the offense has sucked for some time. The only reason they stayed as healthy as they did is because they weren't on the field much of the game. The defense really got a work out most games. Heck, if it hadn't been for such a talented defense, we wouldn't have won as many games as we did!

The team this year should be good but not great. There are a lot of if's and hopes. IF Larry Johnson get's it on like he did last year that will go a long ways. KC hasn't any big name receivers yet Green racks up the passing yards...he's very efficiant..just not a big play guy. They NEED to get Gonzo back in the game, he only had 3 td's last year. Between him and LJ they should be tearing up the red zone this year. If Green goes down you can cancel xmas. Larry J. runs like a mad man on crack too so he's apt to be hurt but he's young! They have some capable back ups at RB. Ty Law won't be the all saving answer to the "d". They still need to put pressure on the QB. Dungy is a good coach. You can't run him out of town in just a year. Have to give the guy a chance! I think if the Chiefs go 10-6 it will be a good year. Anything above that is great. I'm worried about the home opener vs. Cinci. Palmer can jack that ass up quick and Cinci's "d" is nothing to sneeze at. Chiefs better bring their A game. I was there last year when we shut out the Jets until the last minute and half of the game...can't make it this year though....

| Army---Dungy coaches the Colts---we got HERM EDWARDS---who has been mostly stinky everywhere he has been. Yeah, he won a few with the Jets, but the team was ready when he took over. I agree, they gotta get Gonzo back into the game. LJ won't get as many yards this year with out the pro bowl offensive line, but he will be OK. Receivers---we don't have any except Kennison, and he can't carry the whole load. Green can pass, if he gets protection. The whole offense is going to weigh in on how the O line does. As for defense, we have a few good younger guys, but still lacking alot on D. I will give the guy a chance, but still think it was bad to get rid of Saunders. Have you noticed how much better the Redskins look with him running the O? |

| My fault. I got the name mixed up. I was doing my FF stuff and reading at the same time......oops.

| I don't think KC will stink this year but between their weaknesses and their BRUTAL Schedule (Cinci, @Pittsburg, Seattle, Jacksonville along with their always tough schedule) I think they are looking at 9-7 being a good year. That's with no injuries. They play well at home but I'm worried about the home opener. Bengals can throw and run and the Chiefz "D" is avg and best. KC is playing more conservative. Cinci should be able to light it up on KC but since they are playing at KC and it is opening day (Chiefz do well on opening day) kc might have a chance. The betting line has dropped quite a bit which means a lot of money is going on Cinci.

| I think the Chiefs line is 9-7 for the season. Looks like a good over/under pick to me. Of course, i would take the under. By they way, I am & always have been a Chiefs fan, but am getting tired of the Mickey Mouse way they have been running the organization. Just like the Royals. Need some "bigger" money to back them , if they are ever gonna prosper above the "mediocre" mark. Herm is too "conservative" in his offense. Running is great, but you have to have a balanced O to make it work. Just seems like we can never get it all together in the same season. |
