Former Bluejay at K-State has great game!

Former Bluejay coming off eventful first game as K-State starting defensive end.

The mark of the leader means sometimes means to show what to do by actions in the game or the battle.
Ian Campbell was a key leader for the Cimarron Bluejays in football and basketball during his prep career. On Saturday, those leadership qualities were shown to the Kansas State Wildcats fans as the sophomore defensive end was a key part in K-State's 24-23 victory over Illinois State to open the 2006 season.

Campbell, in his first start for the Wildcats at left defensive end, made three sacks and ended up making the game-saving tackle on a two-point conversion. His final sack helped stop the Redbirds on their final drive. And although he ended up getting the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors for his effort, Campbell admitted he learned some things from the win that will make him even better.

"I felt pretty good about Saturday," he said. "I would have liked for us to play a little bit better, but we went out and got the win. I was pleased about my performance, but I could have done things a little better myself. I made a few mistakes, but overall, I was happy about how it turned out.....

I read this somewhere, Bubba. Glad to see a local kid do good! I hope he is on scholarship at KSU. Makes sense we educate some of our own, rather than all those Texas, Florida, and California kids!

Not to mention the illegals that get in-state tuition prices! I still can't believe that, come to a Kansas college from out-of-state and pay unreal tuition costs, come here illegally from another country and we will give yo a discount on tuition. What kind of message does that send?

Well, he doesn't need to be on scholarship. His clan already got all my money, along with alot of other peoples! Dirty Curt can pay his way.
