| ...as for Trent Green...I agree with you MIT. He was an ok qb. He had good stats because he was behind a great O line and had a good back behind him. He threw a lot of safe, short passes but he wasn't the guy that would win you a game in the crunch. FWIW neither QB they have now is that guy either. The jury is out on croyle and Huard is NOT the guy that is going to take you to the playoffs in the AFC. I think his success last year was due in large part to the coaches keeping it simple and not asking a LOT of him. Under pressure he often folded like a tent and turned the ball over. He's a back up at best....The Chiefs WR situation is sucky also. I think it's time to suck it up for a couple of years and rebuild with some youth. The Chiefs track record on drafting WR's suck...See..(Snoop Minnis, Sylvester Morris, Craphonso Thorpe...)

| What, you forgot about TODD BLACKLEDGE!!!>?? The Chefs have not had many good WR's for a number of years. And, they have wasted one of the best TE's in the league by not using him enough. |

| Looks like they picked up Dwayne Bowe(WR) from LSU as their 1st round pick.

| So now what.....are the Chefs stuck with green and his 9 Million $ salary? Do you guys think they will release him or keep him?

| I think they should put Gonzo up on the trading block and see what they could get for him...

| From what I heard on the radio this morning, they're stuck with the Green/Huard machine. Green was good until his injury. Now he seems to be a little hesitant - he's not taking chances anymore. Huard isn't lead material just yet. Who knows, though - he might have matured over the off-season and will be our star?!

| According to Carl Peterson, on his interview yesterday, "Trent Green was and will be our number one quarterback"! Course, could just be a sham to try and unload Green and his salary. Could be worse, I guess. Al Davis drafts the top quarterback with his number one pick, and then proceeds to trade away his top receiver!!?? ![]() |
