| Trent and Larry have been goners for a while. Dante's trade really didn't catch me by surprise - those idiots would trade their mother if it got them any kind of play off pick. Actually, they seem to throw the whole team in the air every year. Whichever one comes down healthy, they keep. Then they try to fill up the roster with bad players, whom they trade the next year. They've been talking "younger team" for a while now. It doesn't seem to be about building a winning team, more like gambling with the Chiefs' playoff future.

| Dante Hall Trade I was totally shocked when I heard this!! Dante is one of my favorite players and he always brings excitement whenever he touches the ball. As I did some looking into any reason why they would do this, it makes a little more sense now. One player they have on the board is Aaron Ross, a CB out of Texas who can also do kick returns. After watching video on this guy, I feel alot better about what the CHIEFS did. Ross is a great defensive back (which is exactly one position we need to fill) and he looks alot like Dante when returning the ball with catlike moves and great vision of the field. Now it just matters if the CHIEFS actually get him!!!! |

| If they want to get rid of somebody, get rid of Herm Edwards!! By the way, I can see getting rid of Trent Green, but what I can't see is trading good-decent players for crappy draft picks! IMO Dante Hall is worth more than a 5th round pick! They keep screwing around and they are going to lose fan base-------me included! |

| Dante Hall was a good returner, not so great of a WR. Clear up some salary cap room and get rid of him, not so bad of an idea. Trent Green's career is just about finished. After he took that hard lick he hasn't been the same. The chiefs have a couple of young QB's that need to be played. Getting rid of Trent and clearing up some salary cap room, not so bad of an idea. When i heard that the chiefs were hearing trades for LJ, i thought that that was a dumb idea. Next year is his last year on contract and he could likely leave. They also are saying he is asking for too much money. A trade for him is not very likely considering how much the chiefs are wanting for him. Expect him to leave a year after that however.

| That, and you have to admit the Dante Hall of the last 2 seasons hasn't performed to the standards of the Dante Hall from 3 or 4 years ago. He has either slowed up just a step or two that allows the opposing team to tackle him, or the opposing teams have adapted and started keying on him more to not allow him to get all those great returns he used to get.

| That could be it too.

| You got that right Redd! I can see getting rid of Trent Green, as I never liked him anyway. He was great, as long as he had that great O line in front of him. But, he could never scramble. Agreed Dante is wearing down, but still, look at his return averages compared to the rest of the NFL. And they get a 5th round pick for him?? Shopping LJ seems kinda dumb to me too. The guy is damn stable and reliable for the amount of carries that he had last year. As someone said earlier, the Chiefs are starting to act like the Royals. I've lost interest in them anymore too!! Evidently the owners don't want to win games. They just want to rip off the fans with their outrageous charges to attend and enjoy games. |
