| Who was the last Dodge City football player who was highly recruited and became a star? It's been years but I remember Montgomery, called Monkey, who played running back for K-State back in the day. He was touted as pro material but fell out of a palm tree in Hawaii, so the story goes, while there for the college all-star game and blew out his knee. Is he selling used cars in DC?     |

| D1 level? Its got to be Brian Goolsby. I think he started all 4 years at FB for KSU, was on the team that won the Fiesta Bowl over some orange team, can't remember who, either Tennessee or Syracuse. |

| I know Brian and if i'm am right he was the last one to come out of dodge city but what i'm saying is that what notyoubob and reddemon just wrote it couldn't be brian, is that better

| Well the last D1 kid to come out of DC was Jesse Grove, he went to the University of Houston, but ended up at WSU. Before that John Gardner went to KSU but he also wasn't very good. The last to come out of DC and actually do something at a D1 college WAS BRIAN GOOLSBY. That may change with these seniors as I think Kale will do well at KU and I think if Mykael decides to play college football he could be outstanding as well. |
