Anybody know anything about the "Prince" guy from Virginia that the rumors say is the leading candidate to replace Bill Snyder? I understand that he has ties to DC3, but don't know much about him.

Heard it confirmed and reported on the KSN news last night at 10. Said he played football at DCCC. Also said that he was a black guy, making him one of the few black head coaches in college football.

I heard that he is a great recruiter, and is very cordial with the media. I guess time will tell. You kinda wonder, when he was the offensive coordinator at Virginia; and their offense was kinda sucky!!

Great recruiter....GOOD

Virginia has been known the past few year years to churn out NFL caliber Offensive lineman. And their offense a couple of years ago was pretty darn good.

I thiink he will be a good change of pace for the Wildcats.

He stole Freeman away from the Huskers so that is a good start,

Ku and K-State Football:

Which team do you think does more with the talent they have? I would argue that Magino does more with less at KU and that K-State has underachieved the last 2 or 3 years. If Mangino had 1/2 the talent that K-state had KU would have done a lot better. If you look at recruiting K-state gets many more higher rated players due to a "better" program. Perhaps it's only a matter of time at KU?

Well actually neither team seems to get top notch recruiting classes. The last 4 years or so both teams have been neck and neck in recruit ranking. I think the last ranking I saw had KU's class around 47th and KSU's at 45. KSU's should go up because they still have a few schollies to fill where as KU, I think, is full.

My personal opinion on Mangino is I think he is overrated as a coach. He has ridden the coattails of some very good coaches over the years (Mike Leach, Stoops, Snyder, etc.) But I am a Cat fan so I guess you can take that for what its worth.

I like both schools, but I gotta say that Mangino is a good Coach. Yeah, he was under those other Coaches, but he learned alot from them. I think if they just give him time, he will turn KU into a great program like Snyder did at KSU. One of Snyders big problems was all of his Coaches leaving for other programs, due to the fact that KSU was so successful. You gotta remember that their are many Coaches on each team that have hands on with players on a day to day basis. The Head Coach delegates through his assistants.
