Question for all the crazy gun nuts out there.

I was looking at an M4 in the new Cabela's flyer for about $1700 which I can't afford so I was just looking.

Then I was talking to a friend who had the same sales paper and discussed the situation. He said his boss had an Olympic K4B AR-15 he wanted to sell if I was interested in that.

We got the guy on the phone and he said he'd take $700 for it and I said I'd consider it. Now I know this rifle had been well taken care of and was broken in properly but I've got a few pauses...

I've never heard of Olympic Arms (research on the net says they are decent)
He wants $700 for it but I've found it for $739 online (My gun club will do the transfer for $20) and with tax it will total about at about $770

Anyone ever seen these before?

How's the quality?

How are they holding value?

I'm not in a rush to buy anything but I would like a good rifle.

Any input would be helfpul.

Hello, I don't know much about Olympic Arms, looking at the link, it looks like a decent rifle and they do have a lifetime warranty on it. There are a lot of places making the AR-15 nowdays. It is the best selling rifle platform in the US. There is a website out there if you have more questions about the AR-15: AR15.COM

by the way what gun club are you in?

I ended up with a DPMS Panther A4 and it's sweet. the first time I had it out at the range I was hitting a man sized target at 300 yards 10 out of 10 with iron sights. For me that's pretty damned good.

It is indeed north of town.

It's indoors so I can shoot year round. When I want to shoot distance I go out to Capital City Gun club.

Glad to hear you found a nice rifle, sounds like you 2 work well together.
I was hoping you were in a gun club here in Dodge, wishfull thinking, I don't think such a thing exists. I recently joined a club in Larned and I'm happy with it, the drive isn't too bad. Just nice to have a place to shoot.

Most parts of Dodge after dark, especially on the South side, however the targets shoot back.

If you want to be in a great gun club with free membership and free ammunition just call me. I'll hook you up. ALSO you get to shoot in a target rich environment. You also get to shoot various caliber weapons in all different environments. How CAN you beat a deal like that?

Air Force or Navy pilot. You can shoot guns, launch rockets, drop bombs AND fly a plane.

Yes but the avg person couldn't start one up let alone fly one....well MIT could do it but he's the exception. It's not hard to pull the trigger on an M-4 or .50 Cal.
