| Careful with that Fred, it can bite you in the butt. ![]() I guess American English would be almost a second language after the Queen’s version.

| Methinks you're bein' a little hard on Monster, Freddie - actually he made a good differentiation for people who might already know he hails from a different country - the differentiation between American Football and soccer. To me, soccer is a little more fun to watch, but I still park in front of the TV on Sunday afternoon. Monster's been around here a while and never once said he didn't agree with or wouldn't assimilate with the American way of life - in fact, he spent some good time and money becoming a citizen. He's OK.

| You girls went soft while I was away. The guy came out aggressive, knocking our sport as dull and wrongfully named. He gets what he got! Now that I know he's a UKian, I will agree to stop calling him a "south of the border" and start calling him a bloke. Fair enough? |

| I didn't take it as "aggressive" and knocking our sport. The guy doesn't enjoy football! Is it a crime? Soccer puts every bit as much stress on the human body, but without pads. Who's the namby-pamby?

You're right, I'm sorry for calling it a crime. That was silly of me. Wait, I didn't call it a crime. If you think soccer is as physical as football, you're not paying attention. Didn't you see the big fuss made last week when Beckam got kicked, lightly, in his tummy? Oh my, that was brutal!!! Beckam wouldn't last 1 run up the middle in the NFL. Look, KC, you're missing the point here. Pick is a good kid and a great QB. Breaking his hand may well have cost him a college football career/scholarship. That's a terrible thing to happen to a guy. Then some bloke comes along and makes fun of him, virtually calling him a sissy for not playing with a broken hand. That was in extremely poor taste and you're misguided for defending Mr. Bloke. I don't give 2 hoots in hell if Blokey apologized for making a stupid comment about football. He only did that when he saw his words backfired. His apology should be to Pick. |

| Ok I was hasty in my post. I intentionally never said illegal. I could care less what you think about american football. I got the impression you were basically calling the kid a wuss. I wouldn't know him if we bumped into each other, but I would never stand for anyone calling a student athlete a wuss in any case. Sorry if I mis-read your post. Lets move on. and If I didn't - well lets move on. |

| My point exactly, Zeb. In spite of what Monster thinks of our football as a sport, you don't get a scholarship from a D-1 school by being a sissy. Like you, I don't know Pick from adams, but he had to put in a lot of hard work to get where he got. |
