It wasn't the Coach present at the game that got them this way, Army. It was the Coaching philosophy, adjustments, signings, and training practice from the entire HERM EDWARDS era!! Agreed, Ditka nor anyone could have won with that team and game plan. KC has some players, but they are not getting utilized properly. I thought both the 3rd and 4th string QB's played better in the pre-season, than Huard and Croyle, but they let both of them go again! Remember the big Grbac mistake. You are seeing it again with Croyle. They spent this money on him, and they are sticking with him no matter how bad it makes us!!

The biggest mistake I see is in letting the offensive line go to hell. Without a good offensive line, you have no offense period! You can't run or pass without good blocking.

At least I can remember the Hank Stram era, and the way the Chiefs used to be, but will probably never be again in my lifetime!!

Do you think Herm chooses the players or do you think King Karl does? Do you know since King Karl has been there they have not drafted a GOOD qb...that's like what...19 years? They are 13 million under the salary cap right now and for what? The embarrassment of a team they are fielding now. I'm not a fairweather fan. I love the chiefs and it sucks to see them in this mode because they are way to old of a team to be "rebuilding". HUARD nor Croyle is the qb that will ever take them anywhere. What are they going to do...go grab a has been next year like they usually do. Last year they should have snatched up Brees.

I think King Karl does. The film most used by the media up here shows King on his cell phone walking around the stadium while the guys are practicing. Yeah - real important there. He's gotten fat and sassy off the team. KC has enough ribbing over the Wal Mart baseball team - I hope folks don't decide we went to a second-hand football team as well. Although the Royals looked better this year than in a couple of years past. Then the coach retired. I can't imagine what next year will look like.

So should KC start calling on Byron Lefwitch (former Jacksonville QB)? Or, is this the time to throw Croyle to the wolves?

If I were a KC fan, I would want to get a vet in at QB so the LJ has a chance. Don't tell me Huard is the man! He is a great BACK-UP QB, and will never be a good starter. KC really made poor off-season decisions. Still don't know why they felt the need to get rid of Green.

I don't think that Edwards is the main problem, but I do think it is time for a new GM.

I certainly hope so....the tickets are cheaper (parking's still outrageous)!! And the people are generally happier in the stands. It's hard to sit through a Chiefs game because so many are either unhappy with the opposition or at the Chiefs or at the officials and they get a little beligerent.....Besides, baseball is played in a nicer season. Who doesn't like a balmy summer evening in the stands at Kaufmann?

In my experiences, fans at the Chiefs game are nasty drunks, while fans at the Royals are happy drunks!!
