Ummmm....Beasely is the number 3 scorer in the nation averaging 1 point less than the leader per game with 26.7 points per game. Although the team may lose or Beasley has a bad game now and then (all players do, even the great ones) he still is one of the best players in the nation...not a "once in every 20 year guy".

PS. He's #1 in the nation in rebounds per game.

Some would say a good coach would take care of that....

Oh, and KU doesn't have any cocky players, right? That little smirk that Chalmers always has on his face and he, Russell, and Rush laughing at the other teams during the preseason blowouts. If there is a player on KSU's team who should be singled out, it should be Walker, not Beasley. Bill plays dirty sometimes and he sometimes has an attitude problem. You can tell that Beasley and coach have talked to him about it, but he already has a reputation, so he doesn't get any slack from the refs.

What is wrong with a player being confident? So Beasley says a few things. He is the best player in the country. I would take a player like him any day over thugs like CJ Giles, JR Giddens, or those Mizzou players who were arrested this season. I would take him over those Memphis thugs that seem like they have to get into a fight with the other team about every time they play. If Beasley played for KU, you would probably think he was the best player ever.

No one said he was not a good player. He just gives off an attitude that could use some improvement. I predict he goes #1 in the Draft. As for Walker, I have no use for him! The guy is a DIRTY player. After Frank benched his ass awhile back, now he doesn't seem to want to play anymore!
It will be interesting to see how they hold together next year without the "ball hog"! I think they will improve, if they get rid of Walker!

As for KU, they sent Giddens and Giles down the river, or don't you remember that. SAme with Padgett. Too bad they didn't get rid of Chenowith too!

I applauded KU for getting rid of those guys. I like how Self handles situations like that. It pisses me off when I hear KU fans complain about Self or Complain about Roy. Those guys are both excellent coaches and they seem like good guys. Most teams would be lucky to have had either of them, much less both of them. I don't think I'll ever understand the hate some KU fans have for Roy. It is somewhat comparable to Huggins last year. He left to go home. Was I pissed at Huggs? Absolutely. But now I realize that without him we wouldn't have these good players and we wouldn't be in the upper half of the Big 12.

It is so sad really to see what has happened to Walker. He impressed me so much with how he handled himself during his ACL rehab and the whole Huggins leaving ordeal. But so much of his game is emotion. If things go his way, he is unstoppable. But there were a few games there where things didn't go his way and he let it get to him. During the TT game, he was too busy sulking and complaining to get back on D. We all know what happened during the Nebraska game. If he could just keep the negative in check, he could be great. He needs to handle bad calls the way Beasley does, just clap it off, pat the ref on the rear, and keep playing.

Lastly, this is not meant as a flame. There seem to be a lot of KU people here and I've got a question that I've never really heard a good answer for. When I was at KSU and even now, I always hear the KU fans making fun of KSU for being an ag school. You know, the whole silo tech thing. If KU is so anti ag, why do they wave the wheat? Isn't wheat ag related? I know, its a stupid question, but for some reason I am curious about it.

I don't see how people think he has a bad attitude and is cocky. I've got an interview with him from the Frank Martin Show on FSN from Saturday. He is very soft spoken, and unselfish.

Everybody that says that he is gone next year must have their own crystal balls. Because in the interview he says he doesn't even know yet and hasn't made up his mind if he is ready for that jump because he is just a kid still.

The interview is too large to post on here. It is almost 1 GB. But if you would like for me to email it to you just send me a PM.

Here is what was said about Walker last year. It just goes to show how much people know that say things like that.
