Since 88-31-10 doesn't want to "just get along", I'll do a bit of a KSU football history lesson. KSU beat Syracuse (w/ Donovan McNabb, you heard of him?) in the 1997 Fiesta Bowl, part of the bowl alliance. The bowl alliance was what came before the BCS. KSU was the Big 12 representative, Syracuse was from the Big East. But I guess you wouldn't know that since you probably didn't follow football in those days. I applaud what KU did this year, they proved themselves to be a very good team. Great, no. But very good. KSU will probably be lucky to stay within 3 touchdowns of them this season. But the fact is that KU didn't even win their division of the Big 12 this past year. KSU has won the Big 12 North 3 times and the Big 12 once. So don't try comparing the two.

Here's a funny story. I have a couple cousins who are big KU fans. They didn't believe me when I pointed out that Mangino was an assistant coach at KSU. When they researched it and saw I was right, I think they about cried.

You are being very childish. I am doing pretty good at remaining civil and not being drug down to your level. KU is a good team, I have no problem admiting that. Why do find it so hard to give KSU any credit for having a good team?

Well I don't know what "KU was planning if they won another one in Manhattan". Care to enlighten me? KSU has a very fine mediocre team. In both basketball and football.

Well Bubba, every fanbase has people like that. I think it would be neat if KU would win the NCAA championship this year except then people like that will make life for everybody else a living hell. Like you, I appreciate intelligent conversation and won't sink to that level. I'll continue to cheer for my Wildcats. I've been a fan in all sports for all of my life and will continue to be. I will also continue to be mentally capable of complementing other teams when they are good. I may not like KU, but I am able to admit that they are ahead of us in basketball and football right now.

Kind of like that stupid "overrated" chant that fanbases love to do when they upset another team. I like to think the team we beat isn't overrated, we are just that good. We beat KU. They aren't overrated, we were just really damn good that night.

It just means that pretty much any Div. 1 team can beat any other Div. 1 team if things go right. It is especially true in the Big 12 when they play on their home court. KU lost to 3 conference teams, all on the road. KSU has lost all of their conference games on the road except for the recent Texas loss.

Hey Bubba, did KSU win last night? Beasley had an awesome game again, but they let Colorado back into the game several times. And Walker was actually scoring again. I noticed Beasley was saying "3 more years" to the crowd; surely not with the kinda money he will be offered in the NBA. And Stewart proposed to his girlfriend before the game--------too dramatic for me!
