I think KSU will be OK. The only play they had this year was "get the ball to Beasley". With Beasley gone, I think the other players will be more comfortable and come into their own. Personally, I think KSU would be better off if Walker goes to the draft. Either that, or they are going to have to teach him to play by the rules and control his temper. I think Martin is actually a pretty good Coach for his first head coaching assignment. You have to cut him a little slack too.

He had his best game of the season vs. KU in Manhattan this year, and we all know how good KU's guards are. Ron Anderson will only improve down low. Dominique Sutton will be very good also. He showed flashes of it this year before his knee injury. Another very good guard, Denis Clemente becomes elegible next season after transferring from Miami, where he played a lot as a true freshman. Jamar Samuels will also be good down low. KSU is also supposedly looking at some good Juco players right now also. There are also two top 100 players locked up for the 2009 recruiting class. You know, I actually think Walker might stay. He has always been #2. He was #2 to O.J. Mayo in high school and is #2 to Beasley this year. He might want to stick around another year to be the man and to improve his draft status.

KU fans seem to forget what their team was like when Rush and Chalmers were freshmen. I remember them being a little inconsistent and losing quite a few games. KSU finished 3rd in the #2 RPI conference, how do they not deserve going to the NCAA? They beat KU and they beat OU on the road. When they talk about Big East and Pac 10 teams with losing records getting in, I am pretty sure a team that goes 10-6 in the #2 RPI conference gets in.

A question for KU fans. What do you do after Robinson, Chalmers, Rush, Arthur, and Jackson are all gone? About all that leaves is Collins and Aldrich. Do you think Rush, Chalmers, Arthur, or Collins will leave early?
I think that Rush and Arthur may leave, but I think that Collins and Chamlers will stay. Chalmers I don't think really translates all that well to the NBA, he just isn't big enough for his position, and Collins has been hurt and had to come off the bench behind a lot of great players, not letting him showcase his talents enough. KU will just reload. They have one of the best recruiting classes in the Nation, including 2 incredible JUCO transfers next year. It will be more of the same for us...excellence!

So much for an 8 or 9 seed. Looks like the Wildcats have to fight from the 11 seed. I say that they are one and done!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not real sure how good USC is but I guess we will see.

USC is very good. I don't really like KSU's chances, but that's why they play the game. USC has beaten UCLA this year and I think KU beat USC by 6 this season. KSU played USC last season in Vegas and beat them in a very physical game. But this season, USC has OJ Mayo and KSU has Beasley and a first year coach. I like the fact that the game is in Omaha, KSU fans need to turn that place purple. KU and KSU are both in the Midwest regional, so maybe we can have a dream world scenario and have them meet up in the elite eight.

I think I agree with you on the NBA prospects. After his incredible Big 12 tournament, I think Rush is gone. He really doesn't have anything left to prove in college. Arthur could go either way. If he leaves, he is a first round draft pick. Collins will start next season and then leave. Chalmers is probably an NBA role player, so he'll be back. Could you imagine how deadly that team could be if all those guys came back? Wow, I don't even want to think about that.

Honestly with the way things have gone down for the Cats at the end of the season, I think they made out like bandits with their seeding. USC is good, ut I think that the PAC-10 is a little overrated. Mayo will the be the best freshman guard that KSU will face this year, but not the overral best one.

And not too mention that playing in Omaha means that the Cats will have a definitive home court advantage.

I think if the Cats win Thurs, things will look pretty good , although a second round game against Wisconsin will be tough...

What if they don't go to the NBA next year? Nobody has said they will yet. Look at these video's from previous posts. The first is Michael Beasley telling you himself that he isn't sure that he is ready to go there yet. The second one is of some "know-it-all" broadcaster from last year saying that Walker wasn't going to come back for this season!

I agree that Wisconsin will be tough for KSU. Also, Clemson is going to be tough for KU to get by, especially if Clemson plays like they did this weekend.

When the money starts talking Beasley will pack up and leave KSU. KSU can't hold a candle to the MONEY that the NBA is going to offer him. Now if he comes back KSU will be a tough team, but that is a big IF.

Yeah, reminds me of how that team would have been if Gooden would have came back for his senior year, not real sure KU would have lost then, they would have been senior laden with incredible players. Next year is going to be fun for KU to say the least, and this year isn't even over yet!
