My point was/is in MY opinion, which means nothing I know, that as a Superbowl Halftime act I was not impressed with the choice of Petty is all. I was not, am not, nor would not disrespect Tom Petty as an artist or performer because he is good and I do like his music. I also do not disagree with anybody who did like it, to each their own. Ever since the Jackson spectacle the powers that be are gun shy and go with an act that is more tame. Also, the acts that are performing usually have a new album/cd coming out. It's all good.........it gives me a chance to go get my plate filled, a cigarette and another cold beer.
